10-piece chamber ensemble (BLE) celebrating the music of the Birth of the Cool, Monk at Town Hall, Charles Mingus, Teddy Charles Tentet, Gil Evans, Sun Ra, Jimmy Giuffre, and commissioned compositions. Guest artists have included Lee Konitz, Dan Tepfer, Teddy Charles, Eddie Bert, Ted Brown, Grachan Moncur III, and more.

17-piece big band repertory ensemble (BLEE) collaborating with guest composers/arrangers and performers including Miho Hazama, Elliott Hughes, Jeff Lederer, Jon Irabagon, Lee Konitz, Alexa Tarantino, Caroline Davis, Greg Ward, Ryan Keberle, and others. Repertoire includes the music of Lennie Tristano, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Dewey Redman, Lee Konitz, Stan Kenton, Gil Evans, Duke Ellington, Allison Miller, and Bud Powell.
